Stickbuilt is an immersive, off-grid architectural event where students, and professionals come together to explore the possibilities of building with raw timber in real time. Set in the woods along Alabama’s Little Cahaba River, teams live, design, and build side by side—creating full-scale structures from a simple palette of materials and tools. Rooted in experimentation and collaboration, Stickbuilt blends architecture with disciplines like art, biology, poetry, and music. The result is a week of unexpected forms, communal meals, spontaneous learning, and creative exchange.
